A devastating fire ripped through a four-story residential building in the Sadh Nagar area of Palam, Delhi, early Wednesday morning. Tragically, the blaze has claimed the lives of 9 people, and several others are reported to be seriously injured.
The incident occurred around 7 AM when a sudden fire erupted in the building. The flames quickly spread, engulfing the entire structure and trapping residents, including members of a single family.
The Delhi Fire Service responded swiftly, dispatching 30 fire tenders to the scene. Firefighters faced significant challenges due to the narrow lanes and densely populated area. A rescue operation was launched with the assistance of police and emergency services to evacuate those trapped inside.
